What is it?

My Hope Chest is the only national non-profit organization in the United States with a primary focus to fund breast reconstruction for uninsured and underprivileged women. By assisting women that desire reconstruction, My Hope Chest strives to:

• Restore self-esteem and dignity to breast cancer survivors.
• Raise public awareness for the need of breast reconstruction as a part of treatment.
• Implement legislation that will require insurance companies to pay for mammograms or MRI’s for all women beginning at age 35 and for women 30 years old with a family history of the disease.
• Educate the importance of self-exam from an early age within school systems.
  

My Hope Chest partners with some of America’s leading plastic surgeons that graciously offer their time, expertise and services at significantly reduced rates.

My Hope Chest offers numerous volunteer opportunities. Whether contributing financially or through time, My Hope Chest appreciates every single gift and the generous people that contribute. Here are a few critical volunteer areas My Hope Chest is looking to fill:
